Chris started his career in the industry joining the Australian Broadcasting Commission, Gore Hill Sydney, as a Technical operator.
Beginning as a trainee cameraman working his way up filming music shows like Countdown, GTK & Flashers also Light entertainment shows Aunty Jack, 4Corners, This Day Tonight and documentaries. Finally leaving in 1979 as senior Cameraman he formed The Production Factory filming TVC’s and Corporate productions.
Early 80’s Chris obtained his Commercial Pilots licence flying float planes and doing postal runs eventually purchasing a Helicopter to create Fitzair Aerial Photography in 1984. Flying through central Australia shooting aerials for “A town called Alice” and various television commercials.
1986 Chris flew to the US to pick up his new Steadicam and to complete the Garret Brown Steadicam course in Mains, on the East coast, returning to Australia shooting various TVC’s, Corporate's and later shooting in Asia, Europe and Australia for SOCOG 2000 Olympic games.
Over the next few years Chris mixed his love of Filming, Music and Flying till his company became just Fitzair Productions, working mainly with record Companies, Directing TV shows and Concerts for Celine Dion, Inner Circle also the music video for the Dreamworks film 'Gladiator' and later Australian acts including Dyvinals, Billy Thorpe, SuperJesus, Powderfinger and many more…
In 2009 Chris purchased 190 Pacific Highway North Sydney starting a 4 year build to create Pow Wow Film studios. Pow Wow is now known as one of the top post production facilities in Sydney, providing state of the art technology and services for film & television.
